High School Pastor

General Summary of Duties: Pastor High School Families & oversee the High School Ministry.

Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

• Carry & cast the vision of Crossroads to lead the High School Ministry.
• Oversee all aspects of how the organization’s values, We build faith at home and Worshiping God is a big deal are executed.
• Carry the pastoral responsibilities of the High School Ministry activities at both South and Downtown Campuses.
• Recruit, schedule, and pastor volunteers in the department.
• Oversee all the curriculum taught in the department.
• Help families with high school students build faith at home.
• Schedule, plan and execute a Sunday night worship experience for high schoolers.
• Oversee small groups among high schoolers.
• Work with Middle School Ministry to provide coverage for 1-2 Sunday mornings/month.
• Coordinate annual special events including camp, retreat, etc.
• Plan and execute the budget for the High School ministry.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements:

Employment at Crossroads Community Church:

• Endorses and supports the 10 biblical doctrines professed by Crossroads Community Church.
• Will be a member of Crossroads & fulfills the expectations therein.

Position:

• Must be able to handle the demands of meeting people where they are and helping them take their next steps with Christ.
• Must have the ability to pastor congregation and community members’ spiritual well-being.
• Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills to engage congregation and church members, along with volunteers.
• Must be able to be at Sunday morning services with the exception of four Sundays in a calendar year with the exception of sickness or conferences.
• Must be available for Christmas and Easter gatherings.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to obtain a license or be ordained.
