RSM Presents: Leading and Preaching with Dr. Billy Strother

Join us on Friday, October 20th as Dr. Billy Strother ("Doctor Billy") leads a morning seminar that will help you improve the preaching at your church.

In the first hour, Billy will talk about ways to use the power of story to supercharge your sermons. In the second, he'll cover a crucial skill that many ministers skip: the skill of building a preaching team for feedback and support.

This seminar is the final day of an on-campus masters-level class by the Russell School of Ministry and is free for ministers to attend.

Dr. Billy Strother serves as graduate and undergraduate Professor of Preaching, New Testament, and Leadership with Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, MO. Additionally, DB serves as a Bench Member of e2: effective elders (e2elders.org), coaching, speaking, and writing on the team. Known for both his humor and scholarship, DB co-hosts a monthly podcast aimed at encouraging and coaching congregational elders and lead pastors.

Born in Manhattan, Indiana, Dr. Billy has served both as a graduate Professor of Preaching and New Testament for Cincinnati Christian University, TCM Institute, and Kentucky Christian University and as an undergraduate professor with Point University. He has also served as lead minister with churches in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Georgia. DB graduated from Cincinnati Christian University and earned his Ph.D. in Preaching and New Testament from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

A popular seminar speaker, DB lives with his wife, Ms. Carol, and their two dogs (Harley and Davidson), on a 40-acre hobby farm in central Missouri.
